Enable Workflow Integrations

Integrations extend Workflow capabilities by connecting to external services and tools your organization already uses. As an administrator, you control which integrations are available to your team and how they're configured.

Important: Workflow integrations operate on a strict model - only administrators can enable. Regular users cannot enable integrations themselves, ensuring security and compliance. Once an integration is enabled it is available to end users.

Accessing Integration Settings

To manage workflow integrations:

  1. Navigate to Organization Settings
  2. Click Integrations
  3. View all available integrations in the list

Configuring Integrations

Authentication Types

Different integrations require different authentication methods. When you click on an integration to enable it, you may encounter:

  • API Keys: Single key authentication
  • Credentials + Server URL: For self-hosted or enterprise services
  • OAuth Flow: Browser-based authorization
  • Multiple Options: Some integrations offer choice of authentication methods

Setting Up Credentials

  1. Click next to the integration you want to enable
  2. Enter the required authentication details
  3. Save to activate the integration

Managing Multiple Credentials

Aisle's flexible credential management allows you to:

Create Multiple Credential Sets

  • Add different credentials for the same integration
  • Useful for different environments (development, staging, production)
  • Accommodate different departments or use cases

Select Credentials in Workflows

When building workflows, you can:

  • Choose which credential set to use within a single workflow node
  • Switch between credentials without rebuilding the workflow
  • Test with different access levels or permissions

Credential Administration

  • Edit: Update credential details as needed (note: existing keys are never visible for security)
  • Disable: Temporarily deactivate specific credential sets without affecting other credentials
  • Delete: Permanently remove credential sets that are no longer needed
  • Keep integrations running while managing individual credential sets

Making Integrations Available

Once you've configured an integration:

  1. The integration becomes immediately available to your organization
  2. Users will find it in the Workflows section in the sidebar
  3. Team members can now incorporate the integration into their workflow designs
