Anthropic released Claude Opus 4.8 today. It's already available in Aisle — you'll find it in the model list for chats, and anywhere else you manage models (prompts, projects, etc.).
We're not going to tell you it's better than the alternatives yet. We haven't put it through enough real work to say. Over the next few days we'll be running it head-to-head against the models we use most for the jobs we actually care about: long-context retrieval over messy documents, multi-step workflow planning, code generation inside our own builds, and tool-use chains under load. We'll share what we find when we have something honest to say.
